Brains for Bikers was founded in 2023 by Vance and Alex Mattzela after a motorcycle accident that significantly changed their lives. Their journey through the challenges of a traumatic brain injury motivated them to establish this organization. Our mission is to raise awareness about TBIs and provide free helmets to help prevent them. We want to help alleviate the financial burdens associated with these injuries and develop a free website dedicated to doctors and specialists who focus on TBIs. We hope to run three continuous campaigns: 1. To donate 1,000,000 helmets in 10 years. This is an ambitious goal, but we feel that it is necessary to raise awareness and encourage safe driving. 2. To create a website dedicated to TBI recovery. It will help those affected find the specialists, support groups, facilities, and resources they may need.
